  1. Exactly that. I can't be bothered to answer questions for which the answers are widely available.
  2. I had a go at responding, then I read what Mungler wrote after my last comment. I'm going to take a lesson from someone who's opinion I regularly agree with and save my breath. If a bloke who wins arguments for a living has given up, I've got no chance!
  3. I'm not vaccinated because it made a friend of mine have a stroke. Now there are places I can't travel to even though it's well documented that the vaccine doesn't stop the virus from being passed on. Not that anything will change because of it - I'd give up everything before I put that stuff in myself. I'm not anti vax, I've had several. I'm just anti this one. It's not been properly tested and there are so many cases of it going wrong. There are people on this very forum telling you that they've had complications, first hand contact with medical staff who have confirmed their fears, and yet you still can't take it on board. Talk about burying your head in the sand! No restrictions? Really?
  4. Dare I say it - more than you? Discredited these days seems to simply mean having a different opinion to the one being pushed. There are world leading virologists and vaccine scientists out there who have all of a sudden been discredited. Even the guy who invented MRNA vaccines said not to trust them, but someone else knew better and the developers opinion was all of a sudden utter rubbish. For years to come there will be battles of will between people like you, and people like me. I'd like to say I don't care, but I do. Every now and again some poor ****** like you vaccinates their kid in good faith, then the kid drops dead at their next football match. You say that's rubbish - so did all the parents it's happened to. I don't know anyone who hasn't been jabbed who has been made badly ill by covid. I know two jabbed people who have died and two who will never live a normal life again. Argue against that all you like, but please, at least open your eyes to the possibility that something isn't right.
  5. Let's say you've worked hard for your boss for several years and he's always paid you on time - ever thought of offering to work for a lower wage because he's treated you well? I've seen plenty of RFD's go bust or give up, you have to wonder how much profit they can afford to give as discount?
  6. I've just come back after a long break and have noticed that we're allowed to talk about this. I'm surprised. Pleased, but surprised. So, where to start. This will be a long one! Conspiracy theories - well they're only conspiracy theories until they're not a theory, then they're just a conspiracy. Unless you've had your eyes closed for the last couple of years, there are plenty of conspiracies. And dangerous ones. Lets have a stab at vaccines, if you'll pardon the pun. I'm getting close to running out of fingers on one hand to count people I know, or knew - people who would recognise and speak to me in the street, who have been irreversibly injured or have died within a couple of weeks of having a vaccine. The first one came, thankfully, before I had mine. That was a wakeup call. Mid 30's biker chick, fit as a flea, massive stroke. It didn't kill her but she'll never fully recover. It's only because she's so damned hard and stubborn that she can even walk! It makes me shudder thinking about it. We were told that we had to have these new fangled, untested jabs for the sake of those around us. But wait - they don't stop the spread? Uh huh, the conspiracy theorists saw that coming. Could that have been because the guy pushing the jabs had shares in the vaccine company? Nah, that's not fishy at all! I know plenty of people who haven't had a vaccine. Have they been ill? No. Jesus, I even lost an uncle to cancer a few months back and my aunt, bless her little cotton socks and face mask, tested positive for covid the following day. Were we to leave her on her own for the first week after she lost my uncle? Like hell! Me and the wife went to stay with her, neither of us jabbed, for several days. Did she pass it on to us even though we both hugged her and only washed out hands after we'd been to the loo or before cooking - you know, like normal people... No. Now let's talk about masks. Those soppy bits of cloth that wouldn't pass health and safety on an asbestos site, let alone a biohazard site. What does the military NBC kit look like? That's what you need to wear to stop a virus, not a bit of cotton stuck loosely to your face with a rubber band. I felt absolutely mislead, not because I'm a conspiracy theorist but because my eyes work and my brain remembers what a real biohazard mask looks like. Those were surely imposed by the psychologists on the government covid team. Don't forget they outnumbered the virologists - if that doesn't tell you something then I can't help you. Remember what Mungler said about smelling the perfume and cigarette smoke... need I say more? As for staying home, what a joke. People couldn't go out for a walk in a field on their own because it would be dangerous? Come on! What about the MP's party? Do you think for one second that all those doddery old fuddy's that run our country would have done that if they genuinely believed they would be at risk? Don't be so daft - they were laughing at us. They knew the risks, or lack of, and cracked on. The same as we should have. It's funny. At the start of this I took it dead serious. I damn near washed the skin off of my hands, I wore an upgraded mask if I did need to go out and I stayed well away from people. But as time passed and I saw the death figures, I couldn't help but question why I didn't know any of them? I'm a sociable bloke, it's not like I don't know many people. Then I started asking questions with my friends who felt the same. People who had spent thousands on anti viral UV lights for their shops etc, and it just didn't add up. I went full circle, sanitising my hands before touching anything in case I was wrong, but not sanitising them afterwards so I could pick up whatever this virus was. Petrol pumps, chip and pin machines - I'd have licked them if it wasn't weird! Fast forward six months and I was offered an antibody test which I jumped on. It came back saying that I showed a good level of antibodies, possibly the result of a vaccine, and I'd had a previous covid infection that I didn't know about. The government test couldn't tell whether I'd had a vaccine or not and the deadly virus that I had picked up hadn't even caused a sniffle - what a joke! I went on to get covid again, this time it ruined my smell and taste for a good week. Oh boo, I didn't have one day that I couldn't have worked, but I wasn't allowed. It was the only time in my life that I've claimed any sort of benefit from the government. They made me do it, so they could pay. Usually that would go completely against my principles. I can look after myself thanks. Now I'm on four friends with vaccine issues, two of whom are dead. The vaccine companies were given protection from any comeback and they've made a fortune. We're still sticking this stuff in kids who if you looked at the scare charts, never had any trouble with covid anyway. We live in a sick, sick world and I honestly don't know what to think. I guess that makes me a conspiracy theorist just like all the scientists, the real experts, who have been shut down on media platforms because they don't support the narrative. So much for free speech - the science I know evolves, but this was never allowed to. Why? Edit... And in m big long rant I didn't even touch upon the original question - where did it come from? Well its DNA makeup has shown without a doubt that it was manufactured. Bats my ****! It was grown in a lab in China, funded by the USA because they aren't allowed to do it on their own turf. That government we're supposed to look up to and trust - what does that say about them? Did it escape or was it let out? If it was let out intentionally, why? Who knows. We probably never will know. But the lies say all they need to. I tend to read between the lines rather than read the story I'm presented with. I wish more people would do the same. We'd have a lot more Jews on the planet if people could think for themselves.
  7. Assuming you went along with their demands. Plenty of people are still somewhat restricted. There was a point when I was told that I couldn't go to work, alone, in the middle of nowhere. My earnings suffered, a lot of people were worse off than me, some lost everything and topped themselves because "getting on with their lives as best they could" didn't seem like a viable option. All over a fancy cold!
  8. I wouldn't have wanted to be Chinese back then! Too many folk about who were looking to blame someone for their problems. Some of them even made up problems that didn't exist - non vaccinated people being a danger to the public was a priceless claim, made by the government themselves! Go for a walk but don't carry a rifle or a golf club because it increases the risk of spreading it as well as there being a tiny chance that you might have some fun. Wear a mask to keep safe but no visiting dying relatives in hospital because a mask doesn't keep you safe, or was it because you might take covid into a ward that already had covid or take covid out of a ward that caught covid from outside?!... Oh the stupidity! I'd like to say that I'm glad it's over, but I think it's only the beginning.
  9. What difference does it make? There's little point shutting the stable door, the horse has already bolted. Anyway, most of the population have had their jab now so it's fine. Just keep lapping up those boosters. It's been a funny old game this. What a social experiment! Even though it wasn't intentional, I've learned a lot about my friends and people in general.
  10. I struggle with the whole thing. I got in a bit of a scuffle on Facebook a while back because I referred to people as coloured people. I was told I should say people of colour? Who the hell makes this stuff up? It's the same words in a different order! I have an issue when things are said in a malicious manner but when someone like myself, who is absolutely not racist at all, is pulled up over something so pathetic I feel that the moaner's priorities are in the wrong place. I wish we could all get along without having to prove anything or show anything. There are parts of the world where whites (can I say that?) have been persecuted but you don't hear much about that. So we enslaved a load of people years ago - that wasn't me and I'm not sorry. Why should I be? It's a very sad thing to happen but it's not my place to apologise because I had nothing to do with it! What's done is done. In my opinion the only way this can move forward is by us all acting in a manner that doesn't pour salt in old wounds.
  11. In short, no! Weird when if you consider the news we're all being fed - we're like a field full of rabbits and one just turned up with myxomatosis! We should be dropping like flies?! Had covid been covered up rather than bigged up I would genuinely be none the wiser.
  12. I didn't have the balls to drop that in here. Glad someone known to have a pretty decent level of intelligence did!
  13. The one this replaced was a .308, it wasn't too bad. It recoiled about the same as you'd expect from a sporter barrelled bolt action. This one is screwcut so if recoil was an issue a small muzzle mounted moderator or brake could be fitted. I'd say with the excitement of a deer or boar in the sights you'd barely notice it going off - most shots like that are taken standing too and in my experience that helps a lot. I shot the .308 prone with no brake or mod, it wasn't unpleasant.
  14. I guess you could look at it like that! .375 is the minimum legal calibre for dangerous game in many African countries so a dangerous game calibre is something equal to or bigger than that. Just as you would refer to a .243 or above as a "deer calibre" rifle here. As for 4 bores, I'm not so sure about that! You wouldn't catch me firing one!
  15. Get the .404, that's a truly classy calibre! You only live once. Contact your PH to see what they can get hold of and match up with things you can source here too. Get them to order a box of something that works in good time before your trip. Ammo problem solved even if it is lost. The only species I have an interest in is buffalo at the moment. I really need to get out and shoot one. For now I'm just trying to concentrate on regular range visits to put a few rounds down the rifle so it's nice and familiar. I'm about at the stage I'd be happy to deer stalk with it so I've got a way to go before a buff hunt!
