Thumpersniper
Hi, i'm just trying to pay my tax online before the deadline, theres a choice of about 12 payees on a drop down list all HMRC but different departments. I guess i should either pay HMRC SELF ***** CUMB or HMRC SELF ***** SHIP. its probably obvious but i cant think what the cumbs and ship stands for, does anyone know?! the bill is depressing me, but it has to be paid! cheers

Pushkin
Not 100% sure but I think it is for Cumbernauld and Shipley - two of their offices. Pushkin

Beardo
they are just the two tax offices - you can pay to either and it will get to your account, but check any paperwork you've had from them to see which is your tax office.
