Went over the Broomhills in Markyate, Hertfordshire which is now Atkin Grant and & Lang shooting ground at the weekend, and I just wanted to let everyone know what a massive improvement it is on the old ground.

They have really spent some time and money on the facilities, and improved all of the traps to supply people which some really challenging shots!

The guys in the shop couldn't be more polite and helpful, and have made small changes such as free tea and coffee, and somewhere warm and comfy to have a sit down when you have finished.

Overall it was a good day, and would encourage anyone who has had a bad experience over the past few years to go along no give the new owners a chance.

I became a member at AGL last weekend. The ground has improved hugely since I visited there many years ago. Prices are a bit steep, but membership does bring the clay costs down considerable so worth while if you go regularly. Membership can also be used at their other ground, Oxfordshire Shooting School, which is like a mini version of AGL. This is a nice ground too, with tidy new stands and is currently undergoing an expansion plan with improved clubhouse, facilities and more stands coming apparently. I will be splitting my time between the two grounds for practice so for me membership is pretty good value.
