Andy RV
I took my old sxs sidelock out this morning for a walk around my permission, managed 3 crows and a squirrel. After the first 2 crows a pigeon got a lucky escape when I had what I thought was a duff cartridge, I swapped out the cartridge and carried on after spotting a squirrel in the tree's, after waiting for it to finally show itself I squeezed the first trigger for nothing the happen! Notice a trend here! I quickly gave it the second barrel and it was down, as was my 1st barrel. On the way back to the car another crow dropped to my only functioning 2nd barrel. I'll get the gun in pieces in the next few days and see whats going on in there. Thanks for looking.

Andy RV
Cheers guys, the gun is a H. Vint sidelock extractor, I believe that it's English however I've never come across another. As you can see it was originally damascus barrelled but was re-sleeved at some point in it's life.

Andy RV
I've just had the gun in pieces, part of the hammer which engaged the main cocking 'arm'??....has sheered off so when the gun is broken the hammer can't be cocked, looks like it needs brazing / welding back into position.
