Ive had one for a while .. when l got it, there were instructions regards to suggested call patterns and what they meant.

At the time l wondered, "with Primos being manufactured in America" .. were the suggested call patterns relevant for the UK Carripn Crow?

Im quite sure l once read that "Crow dialect" can vary even from.UK region to region ...lm wondering what are the best crow call patterns to bring them in ... is there anyone aware of recording of good call.patterns .. lm guessing, feeding/mate calls etc, one that inspires curiosity amongst the clever crow!

As an after thought .. whats the best Magpie caller available that's best suited for the UK ... cheers

As above I give three or four sharp blasts and you often hear a reply, when they get near I squeeze the the read with my teeth and give a short jackdaw blip. The magpie call I use the caller at ninety degrees to you lips and blow through my tongue and and make it flap and this replicates the magpie chatter. They suddenly appear hearing the call.

I use two short blasts like Carr-carrr and they normally come in after that without the need to call again. If there flying far out or don't listen to the first call give it four or five sharp blasts until it turns then one coming towards you I give it the two to keep it enticed! As for magpies I always rattle a box of matches cos can't seem to use the call right for them and it works quite well
