I do a lot of roost shooting in there but also fancy popping off some squirrels.. I want to set some feeders up to attract them Any help on this ie setting up feeders, best ways to shoot etc, all greatly appreciated.. berettadevon Posted March 29, 2014 Report Share Posted March 29, 2014 i simple empty a jar of peanut butter onto a fallen tree trunk, sit quietly in a holly bush close by and when i see one of them little tree rats heading for there final meal i give them there starter which consists of 30g of 5 shot!!!! very rare do they get to taste there final meal only smell it!! I find if you simply spread peanut butter on the tree bark they come along and eat their last snack. Kania also work well in these situations, but mind your fingers. Also will they come quite quick or is it a long long waiting game, Cheers brett Do your research, find their homes/routes/feeding areas/play areas/etc and find a tree that works for you and them....or even the ground of course! Come the Autumn/Winter months ground areas and tree stumps become obvious where they favour with chestnut/etc shells! Earlier in the year Hazel shells ........and so it goes!
