Hi all,

Have a look at the link below. Lady's Wood in south glos are offering a month of deals in April for weekday instruction. Also they have announced an open sporting comp every month on the last Saturday from May - September.

Keep an eye on this link for more news.

Yes I do work there. Trying to spread the word.

Cheers

There is a huge variety up and down the country willpoon. Be that shooting schools or straw bale shoots. The only thing I can say is that we are not a Sunday morning straw bale shoot. Not knocking them in any way I enjoy them but we are a full time shooting school and obviously have overheads etc so hence the price.

For Sunday straw bale, albeit a challenging one, that's just up the road from you I pay £25/100. For a 100 bird practice round (no caddy) at a full time shoot near Swindon it's more like £30. Not much in it as you say. Would you say Lady's Wood cater as well for the clay shooter as the game shooter looking for out of season practice? I ask because some schools seem more interested in the latter. Thanks

22p at my club :)

That's good, I pay 24p for trap (scored) its 22p for members i think and 28p for sporting (claymate) caddied is easier if you are on your own.

Chris what's the policy on experienced but none SGC holders shooting?

Hi Martyn, lady's Wood has always been known as a game shooters school but are trying to open up to clay shooters too. Hence the practice round for £40. The practice rounds cover the whole ground and we have a variety of targets not just driven. All sorts of teal, crossers, in comers etc. the new and old towers are able to challenge the best of shots.

HDAV in what way are u asking for non sgc holders? As practice and lessons are accompanied by an instructor we can lend school guns to novice or experienced shots.

Cheers

Some grounds have stopped any none SGC holders shooting unless paying for a lesson, So is the caddy an instructor?

OK I have a mate in bristol who doesn't have SGC but has shot loads of times (rifle and shotgun) but he isn't allowed to shoot at certain grounds without a lesson.

Apparently its due to the terms of the 11/6 exemption........................
