Yes I agree with O F and a couple of the other members, I had a field of lettuces last year with a lot of pigeons going on the ones that had been harvested and when I spoke to the farmer it was , a sorry the scanner could pick up any metal and reject the load.................good job it don't happen with peas ?

Listen lads thanks for the comments but I'm not asking you can I shoot over lettuce, that's all sorted and I'm pretty sure this farmer knows his stuff ;) ill have to watch this space an just see how many birds hit the field and if it's not many then hopefully some good shooting will be had after harvest. Thank you all :good:

I do a lot of shooting over lettuce at this time of year and over summer pal and to be honest it's just like every other way of shooting pigeon (hit and miss) but biggest bag on lettuce is 58 pigeons were as my biggest ever bad is 97 which was this year roost/flight line shooting. As long as your not shooting them sat (which I never have) or close to landing there's no problem or so my farmer tells me.
