Not many crows about.

Nothing much to do this morning. :) Thought i would have a drive around some of my permissions to have a look for some crows

Drove around a 4 mile block of mine not many crows anywhere :sad1: . Few to be seen here and there but not in any numbers.

Was just about to start on next block spotted a few carrions dropping into a field. Parked up in next gate way to have a closer look.

Then i seen quite a few in the field eating sheep cake next to the river Dovey. Watched them for a good while to see which way they where coming in from etc

Seen a nice spot to set up hide in the hedge not far from where they where feeding. Should be able to pull them in with a bit of luck

Will ring my mate later to feed sheep + lambs by my decoys in the morning that will help with getting them into shot range.

So it looks like a nice early start in the morning for a bit of crow bashing :) . atb Terry

That's what happens when they get a hammering during breeding.

True bud but my mates want them shot  they all know who to call when they start attacking their lambs crops etc. atb Terry

Question for you Terry. I'm starting to get the impression the corvids where I shoot tend to follow the cows when mr farmer moves them to different fields. Does this sound about right to you, any experience?

Cheers. P.T

Hi Paul yes mate they will follow cattle sheep etc the cattle at this time of year tend to turn up the grass as still wet under their hoofs so crows get at the insects etc easy meal.atb Terry
