foosa Posted April 17, 2014 Report Share Posted April 17, 2014 Yep, it happened last night, after spotting a fox with the lamp a long way off then spending what seemed like hours following it and waiting for a safe shot (it kept moving just outside the light which had me shifting on the bipod) it eventually stopped to the shout of "oi", I settled the reticle just behind the shoulder, breathed out and squeezed. The sound of the hammer striking an empty chamber is possibly the worse thing in the world for a foxer!! not the first time I've done it and probably not the last, but this time it was made worse by the fact the better half was holding the lamp.
