Mark arrived early Friday morning for some shooting up here with me in Mid Wales.

After we had breakfast we went to look for some bunnies called at the first farm parked up got my Airranger out Mark was putting his Ruger 22 together.

Seen a rabbit by the hedge rifle on bonnet whack first rabbit down Mark said what you shot said rabbit + laughed give me a chance to put rifle together

Went for a walk around plenty of rabbits to be seen,we both shot a good few but left them on the farm for fox bait.

On to another farm plenty of young rabbits and good few big one's to be seen. All the warrens where looking well used but not a huge amount to be seen out,was getting hot . Mark shot a good few and these where left as fox bait . Told Mark waste of time walking over these mountain in this heat so went back home for a cuppa and a little kip.:lol:

Went up to next farm about 6 30 ish parked up Mark looked down the first field blinking hell rabbits everywhere i laughed

Dyfan my mates son came down to see us he loves coming shooting with us. Decide that Mark + Dyfan went walk about after some bunnies and me the lazy 1 said i would pop off the rabbits that where coming into the silage field . Took the HMR for a change sat on my butt waiting for them to appear.

Told Mark to be back before dark as i wanted to go to another farm. Off we set 15 mostly young ones came out to the field for a feed but did not get any

Picked up a few of them rest left for bait got back to yard then they appeared Mark said had a good few Dyfan a few but seen loads but not safe to shoot.

Went back home for a cuppa before we set out for a few hours lamping. Drove to the farm out with the rifle plenty of rabbits to be seen straight away Mark was soon banging them :) Walked up the lane got to the gate lamp on rabbits rabbits then mr fox going up hill into some gorse gave it a few squeaks but no sign must have heard us coming up the lane. :sad1: Mark shot well shooting some nice rabbits picked up as many as we could carry on foot left a load for fox bait.

Lot of young lambs this way at the moment so thats why we left so many, better than them having the lambs.

Off out again later so another report tomorrow.

1 pic of happy Mark and Dyfan 1 of few of the rabbis shot later. Terry

Thanks :good: Mark left this morning for home :sad1: bit of a trip too 2 hours drive. He said he would put up some pics on here soon.

He might be a bit busy skinning rabbits :lol::lol: that will teach him not to shoot so many.

Forgot to mention that Dyfan took a nice rabbit off the fence behind in pic a good 120 yards shot. Mark and Dyfan shot a good few of that fence all where left in field.

Its a great field for foxing will have a look later this evening.atb Terry
