Yellow Every Where ?

Recommended Posts

I've been the dutiful husband and just come back from taking the wife to the overcrowded Bank Holiday Market. During the drive I've seen pigeons on seed in small numbers but I amazed at the yellow fields of Rape . They seem to be all over the place even roads that we have driven looking for potential Zander fishing spots on the canal. Some are two fields over from the road and we did not see them when they were green. No wonder the birds have been difficult to find as they have been in the woods and on all these hidden fields.

we were talking about the exact same thing the other day on our travels I spotted two fields of yellow flower a few fields over from the motorway and just the otherside of a permission we shoot and didn,t know it was a rape field until now

Acres upon acres of rape here too. Can't ever remember there been this much before.

Perhaps the pigeons will once again have too much choice when the stubbles are here. :/

I don't think that will be the case. I think the pigeons will have their favourite fields they'll attack when the harvest begins.

Certainly hope so motty, we don't have many beans here so rely on rape and barley stubbles to kill some birds and put a dent in the local population.
