Ruger 10/22 and subs?

Hi all,

Applying for face soon to get two rifles, one for target and one for lightweight sport rifle. I understand that the ruger is one of the more common choices for lsr and after enquireing at my local shop for prices he said that they won't reliably cycle subsonics. Is this right as I'm sure I've only used subs in them before and you wouldn't really want high velocity indoors.

Cheers

Rubbish!! I've just come off a fabulous weekend shooting my Ruger 10/22 using Winchester Subs.

Ok I had a few jams but it really performed well!!Id never get rid of it it's a cracking rifle.

Thanks for confirming ;)

I haven't used it much but it was great fun using it at bisley in a practical type situation!

Generally for hunting(rabbits really) how are they? I'd be using it predominantly for lsr but if it's good then it'd be nice to be able to use it for both.

Generally for hunting(rabbits really) how are they?cant be faulted as a cheap semiauto in my eyes mine was the first FAC rifle I purchased at £120 including a cheap scope and mod what more is needed their are plenty of videos on youtube that will help you tune it, they can be ammo fussy mine hates whinchesters jams every ten rounds but loves lapua I'd be using it predominantly for lsr but if it's good then it'd be nice to be able to use it for both.
