I'm wanting to buy some nice shirts to wear for shooting, are there any particular brands to avoid or brands that you can reccomend as the prices can vary a lot depending the brand name ?

I tend to keep my clobber in good nick so must last wear and tear.

Or would the same designs in your high street stores like next or marks and Spencer's be the same?

I've got some nice ones from a website called equestrian clearance. The shirts are Hac-tac brand and despite the price tag of around a tenner are actually really nice.

Had mine a couple of years and been out doing all sorts of shooting, dog training, picking up etc and they're as good now as when new.

Go online and look up john cotton. By far the best shirts I have come across in ages. Better quality than musto, less money. Don't shrink anything like the others when washed, not made like you have a huge belly, and a decent length, especially on the sleeve :good:

Tried Norris and champion shirts pilled up and collars went sagged first or second wash.

Just got 4 Joseph Turner shirts and they look good reserve judgement as their only 6 months old but wearing ok.

OF I feel Viyella are going off the boil my last one of their shirts the collar worn out in a year and half. My fathers got some of their shirts that are nearly 20 years old.

Tattersall check for the pattern, Barbour or Le Chameau for the brands, mine are all Barbour though. I got one second hand off ebay very cheaply. It was from an ex boarding school pupil so must have had a lot of day to day use and been treated badly however was still in very good condition. L with a 15.5 inch collar. Good buy!

Have 3 Viyella shirts that must be knocking on ten years old and they still look good. Surprised to see some quality country check in Charles Tyrwhitt recently so I had to buy one whilst I was in there - all my work shirts come from there and this one didn't disappoint either. Decent shirts with accurate fitting to neck, chest and arm length.
