spare feed

Recommended Posts

Hello

I work on a farm in Buckinghamshire and we have a large grain store and drier. We get a lot of throw away wheat, barley, oats, and all sorts really which all goes in a seconds bin and burnt but I would like to get rid of it. My question is does anybody locally want it, it would have to be picked up by you and I would just bucket it into your pick up or trailer, I think it would be ideal for a flight pond as it can have beans and peas in it from time to time.

What do you think ?

I assume this is cleanings. I use cleanings from my brothers drier where all the grain goes through a cleaner prior to drying/storage, they are ideal as a hand feed, dont expect them to feed well through spring feeders but they are acceptable just about in rocket feeders.

I am about 40 mins north of MK by Land Rover so a couple of hours by tractor. In season all our big trailers are tied up moving grain off the combine and I dont want to be tipping that lot onto the floor when I get back. So I am out but if push comes to shove in season I could take some in big bags as I can put them onto my IFW trailer. Dont want any at this time of year, what came out of our drier this week was tipped into one of my release pens but it was not really decent stuff.

I might be able to put you in touch with a friend who runs a shoot near Ampthill if you wish.
