  • 2 weeks later...

update on fishing trip,,

day 1 102lb came nowhere

day 2 256lb 2nd in section,, beat by 2lb for section win

day 3 337lb (pb) 2nd in section,, beat by 5lb for section win

day 4 157lb came nowhere

the first day was very difficult but then once I had sussed how they wanted it it was back aching stuff,

had a great 4 days fishing and even heard a few guns going off around the place,

I caught nearly a ton of carp in 4 days, no wonder I,m worn out, but had my personal best match weight of 337lb so I,m well chuffed

How many keep nets or weigh and return ?

I had 4 nets out on each day and you have to split between nets, with a max of 15 fish per net,,

the average weight of the fish is around 8lb with the odd lump and a few smaller ones, the weird thing was the common carp where huge but had no weight to them but the mirror carp where smaller but heavier

Does your lass have to peel an equal weight of spuds so you've got enough chips for that lot?

if it was cod she would but don't fancy eating a carp, even though some people do
