It's 31/2 chamber al have a look tomorrow and post more info thanks for the help

No don't do it with steel, no steel proof was established for the 10 ga in the UK anyhow I think? Half is equivalent to full when your using steel and the gun will pattern as tight as lead with full anyhow.

Tungsten I wont use due to cost and toxic risk to human health let alone fowl.

My ten is tight half and slack half and patterns BBB steel or Number 2 extreamlly well (far better than my over chambered 3 1/2 12ga can with the BBB at 50 yards and despite the same manufacturer and brand of factory shells tested side by side and claimed to both be equal speed the ten way over penetrates the 12 ! On 12 mm ply it pots practically every single BBB clean though while the 12 puts odd ones through and gives a lot more gappy pattern into the bargain.

All bar the real vintage 10 ga guns carry 3 1/2" chambers

If they're Mammoths I don't think they're tungsten. As far as I know Mammoths are a 12g load available in steel and lead shot but not tungsten, the latter being marketed by Kent/Gamebore as Impact Tungsten Matrix?

I don't shoot a 10g so I may be completely wrong, but a quick look at Gamebore's website seems to confirm my understanding.

Cancer, which I am being lead to believe is already well known to those who work with the stuff in engineering shops - I really don't think its something you want to be eating even in small fragments over the ever so toxic lead we have been eating for centuries and drinking from pipes made of the stuff
