Yeah I think it was $350 but refunded when you attended so free really I guess. Looking at the scores either quiet a few never turned up or the clays were really hard.

Yes my understanding speaking to a few that attended last year the layout was very challenging :)

I'd like to go, I think the format will change next year as they want to lose the association with the "FITASC" tag, as the use of the word is a protected copyright, therefore all major shoots should pay a levy to FITASC for the use of the word, (I don't think the organisers considered this at this years event..?).

I also think the prize structure should change, with payouts not just to "Men and Women", but a proper class structure, (as used in FITASC, ), i.e. Juniors, Ladies, Seniors, Vets and Super Vets, that would be a much fairer system, and would encourage more people to attend, not that numbers are likely to be a problem, as it may well be over subscribed next time around.

Sorry Cat but I disagree, surely the unprecedented level of internet activity, interest and hour by hour reports about the progress of this event showed that they had got most of it right including in my view the prize structure.

The best get to win prizes, what's wrong with that ? As it is many of the better juniors in my neck of the wood can more than hold their own in competition against the best of the AA/AAA's, how would it be fair to the lesser juniors if these were pitched against them with big prizes up for grabs ? They wouldn't stand a chance which is kind of the point really ! If you can out score the next guy you win, that' s how comps should be, all other sports run this way, it is only us which for some reason think we should carry old boys along with a comp within a comp !!

I can't think of a better way of turning Dubai into just another shoot than adopting a class system for prizes.
