hyflier
Hi, Sorry for the late reply, I'm just back from holiday. I think you'll find your airsporter has a nylon type piston head, over the years of banging against the front of the cylinder they expand and get stuck, then you have to replace it with the alloy one. While the cylinder is open and components are out, I can advise changing the piston O ring and the buffer washer, and maybe the spring too. It is possible to do this yourself, just be careful and mindful of the spring, ( the air rifle needs to be fired, NOT cocked.) when unscrewing the trigger block i place the muzzle on a protective surface and put an old hand towel between the rear of the trigger block and my tummy then simply unscrew it. I have a spring compressor to replace the spring but I've seen it done with two people successfully. I am happy to do this for you, if you supply the parts I won't charge to fit them, but I am in Cambridgeshire, it depends how far up in Lincolnshire you are? muffin
Thanks have taken it locally to a guy who sells and repairs shotguns and air rifles he immediately said buffer washer I am near Sleaford would always like someone like yourself to have looked at this as who has an interest shame as a great offer I have just been lent another that I could buy a bit rusty so I took the stock off to clean it up a bit and the loading tap fell out what should hold that in Once again thanks for the offer
hyflier
There should be a small spring and a tiny ball bearing, if you look on the tap, at the opposite end to the lever, there will be a small hole where the spring and ball bearing sits, the ball bearing should fit snugly but not tight inside the hole, the spring should push firmly against the ball bearing. Fitting it isn't too bad if your well practiced in the art of trying to poke warm butter up a porcupine's a*se with a red hot needle, while balancing a ping pong ball on the end of your nose Probably best to get a few ball bearings
