It was a great final, really exciting and a great atmosphere.

Such a shame the ladies don't have the same format and it never had the chance to build up the same level of excitement. I really do not understand why the shooting authorities want to differentiate in that way.

I really don't understand why the final for the ladies is different from the men, I find it really disappointing. It almost denies the successful finalists their moment in the spotlight.

It was a cumulative score for the ladies, but there was no scoreboard showing the total standing, just the scores for the particular round for each squad so the crowd couldn't really tell who was in the overall lead or in medal contention. The only genuine bit of drama for the ladies was the bronze medal shootout, which was settled on the first pair.

For the men the traps were all reset, measurements taken to ensure that the traps were firing as per regulations, clays changed for the powder filled ones, etc. The powder filled clays are obviously better for the TV, but the ladies were not afforded that luxury.

I believe the different format is nothing to do with the Commonwealth Games, but the normal ISSF rules.

Was interested to see that none of the ladies had high rib trap guns, but almost all of the men did. Another thing that puzzled me.

Was disappointed to see no Scottish shooters in DT, although the squad 'fillers' were Scottish and in some cases shot better scores than the competitors.

good points !

why didnt the ladies have flash targets?

why did they change the format, why not have the traditional 100?

the lack of scoring was frustrating.

i noticed the ladies dropped more targets, and the men all has dedicated custom trap jobbies.

wish the skeet had flash targets, couldnt see half the hits.
