JABB
I have been looking into cylinders and ebay and freeads and the like and came to the first conclusion it would be cheap to get a cylinder out of test and get it tested. I looked into this and around Oxfordshire, most recommend Oxford Diving. They get the cylinders collected by someone in Peterborough and turn around in approx 2 weeks. Hmmm.I then chatted this morning to Otmoors and they said the same, they advise Oxford Diving, but he said he won't now send them as they still charge the £45 even if the cylinder is scrapped. HmmmmmThen, in conversation with my Fire Extinguisher man, I was pointed in the direction of Warwick. http://divingcrs.co.uk/dive-equipment-testingVery Very helpful, keen to do business and very inexpensive. They don't charge if the cylinder needs scrapping, will collect and deliver locally, and it is all done in house.I have no connection, but am very happy to recommend someone who wants to help and keen for business. robbiep
Anyone in the north west iv got a contact that will test and fill for £15. Week turn around. Pm for details I'll say now, that I'd be extremely dubious that a proper job is being done for that money. My wife is a cylinder tester. The service kits cost more than £15 to the trade. Some valvesets have become obsolete - manufacturers have gone out of business, and service kits are running out for them. For those, the only thing that can be done at test time is for the old valve to be scrapped, and a brand new valveset to be fitted, which obviously increases the costs. evo
just got mine tested through Jamie (parapilot) came back fine, has been stamped and he has been able to get this deal through his work commitments, £15 is a cracking price and also can I state the company that are testing the air cylinders are held in very high esteem so please do not think its a ripoff because this company sells to the people who sell to the trade so you are cutting out the two middlemen and going straight to the supplier/manufacturer, robbiep as you said your wife pays £15 for the service kit,,these are the people whom sell to the people your wife buys them from,,I stand to be corrected of coarse but jumping to conclusions certainly is not needed, its very good of Parapilot to offer this deal to the air gun lads and genuine and trustworthy and also honest an offer it is, I for one was very happy with the results atb Evo
