darkfire88 Posted August 17, 2014 Report Share Posted August 17, 2014 Hi guys I was out shoot at my plot and came across a dead stag the odd thing was it was a young one and it hadn't been shot there was no marks on it so wasn't attacked any one got any clues it's really puzzling me. Opened it up and its ribs were smashed to *******. It had been catapulted by a vehicle but the impact had not ripped it open and had not been run over. Scully Posted September 18, 2014 Report Share Posted September 18, 2014 We shot a crippled young Roe buck a couple of years ago and on opening it up we found it was absolutely riddled with liver fluke. Landowner has seen it in his sheep and reckoned it wouldn't have been long for the world whether we'd shot it or not. Outwardly it looked healthy enough. Could have been the case with yours?
