ColinF Posted August 21, 2014 Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 I would feed them with top hat or pan feeders and use wheat or one of the game holding mixes, but I think you will struggle to hold them if you haven't got decent cover crops, especially if you have buzzards etc in your area. Duds Posted August 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 Thanks for the comments,to explain I haven't put any partridges down I've just aquired several good sized coveys and didn't want to lose them. Konnie Posted August 21, 2014 Report Share Posted August 21, 2014 what sort of land are you on, wild partridges tend to like light well drained land if your land has hlss headlands try and work with the farmer, and get a seed mixture that is attractive to partridges, If they are wild birds they tend to move a bit more freely than released.
