andrew f
Saw both these rifles in sportsman and I cant decide on which one I want. just need some in field reports not a sales pitch from a rep
Davyo
I have no experience of the tbolt but the cz in any form is a proved and tested work horse. I have the varmint which has been faultless, only need to keep the bolt clean from crud around the extractor/alignment claws.Wouldnt hesitate in replacing it with another. snow white
I have three cz all varmint barrels fantastic guns
BrowningDJC
Dont think you will go wrong with either, ive got a cz 452 silhouette and its been faultless, but ive handled a t bolt and they are a nice rifle.
moorvale55
I use the CZ 452 in .22 and .17hmr, can't really fault them. They just keep working.
iain
As above. I've got CZs in both rimfire flavours. Both bomb proof always works.
Blunderbust
I have had both and there is not a lot to choose between them other than to say that for £12 or so you can get a good trigger kit for the CZ, unfortunately to date I don't think you can get such a thing for the T- Bolt and due to this the CZ gets my vote. spandit
The T-Bolt does have a very funky action and I don't like the was the safety catch works on the CZ (I like forward to fire). I've only tried them in a gunshop but the trigger on the Browning seemed fine to me.
bullet boy
CZ over the T-Bolt for me!
Rimfireboy
I prefer the CZ.

As long as the trigger seemed fine to you in the gun shop, then I suppose you have the right to comment on how good either of the rifles are . welshwarrior
Both will do the job well, personally I like the standard bolt on a rifle but the T Bolt worked fine and would have reduced rabbit numbers. To me however the CZwins hands down it is cheap reliable accurate working rifle does all I need, the other option all cost more but didn't offer me anything else I needed. I have a right to comment that I didn't like the safety catch on the CZ. Please accept my apology for giving a free opinion. Fisheruk
Just been out with my CZ. One shot. One less grey squirrel. Haven't cleaned it seriously for years. Thousands of rounds through it, never misses a beat. I've had it for at least 7 years. It keeps doing the job.
spready
I've got a browning tbolt in .17hmr, had a gunsmith sort the trigger and have it set at 2lb of pull, cost me £65 for the work, but it has transformed the little gun!

andrew f
Just got back from bunny bashing with a my friends mate who has a cz and I can say I have to have one cracking rifle
spandit
It's a problem in the UK that you can't often try a gun before buying it, aside from dry firing in the shop. Go back to the dealer and do that, lie on the floor or whatever position you generally shoot from - they'll understand. From everything I've read, they're both great rifles so you won't be disappointed with either. The T-Bolt does have a spare magazine if you buy the synthetic version... kent
We are talking SH right because the 452 is now the 455. I have had my .22 452 varmint for years and also had one it .17 for a good while. Firm non believer in messing with the trigger till they have done lots of rounds ( when they wear to fit and become sweet as). The 455 aint a bad gun either and might even be better if your buying a magnum, the inletting has gone to the dogs a bit mind you. I can tell you the safety is very obvious and as such creates no issues and also has advantages over forwards to fire if you take a tumble. I also clean my .22s they do need it and it should be done well. Browning? never even considered one over the cz and other std bolt guns on a mini mauser action, why? its the best bolt action rifle mechanism for field use ever designed with its fully controlled feed and stone reliable ejection. I know which will be the easier to fix and find parts for in another 50 years and it aint the browning and also which is the easiest and cheapest to get spare mags for today
safc1973
Very happy with my CZ, bought new 2 months from Greenfields in Salisbury. Shoots 1" @ 100 yards which is good enough for me.
Les*1066
I can't comment on the Browning, but the CZ is a very well engineered rifle that will give years of trouble free service. The bolt action is smooth and positive, and even the standard trigger isn't that bad. As already mentioned, the trigger can be improved very easily and cheaply to give a lighter pull, but I have never found the need to do it. The accuracy is excellent - certainly more than good enough for general pest control purposes, and even some target shooting with decent ammunition. Can't think of much else to say, really, other than if you do go with the CZ, you won't be disappointed.

Perhaps they are selling the last off still?
