Well I thought it wouldn't be long and today my feeling was correct. The pheasants at one of my pens have decided the there abit bord with there surrounding and want to explore the world, they hadn't gone far this time but looks like the head ache is now beginning. They've Been very well behaved up until now tho so I've been lucky. Last year they found a fig bush in a garden in the village, what a nitemare they went back up there as fast as I could push them home untill they ate all the figs! Un happy village person tho!

I have 30 odd to push back in every night for the past fortnight. Ex layers that were to late to be clipped. God knows how many are in the surrounding asparagus! Still plenty in the pen though! I regularly dog a hedge in that has another 20 odd in, it separates my land from a huge wheat stubble field that they love. Still I do it because I enjoy it! Stress an all!

Had em in a month so not too bad, they haven't gone fair today so all good. Partridge gone abit further but with the lab up there **** they soon flew back to the pen. I've never seen as much wild as this year, pheasants and English partridges done really well, French done ok but still no big broods, think there parenting skill are not so good. Pleases with the looks of things at this stage.
