After i'd been looking yesterday for some crows for this morning thought i'd give it a bash.

Got up at 4.30 for a early start ,had some breakfast coffee and smoke, fed the dogs etc.

Quite dark this morning here thought i'd have a quick look at PW and FB

Went out to truck chucked gun in,started engine quick look a fuel gauge nearly on empty. No garage open till 7.00 blinking tamping .

Back to house more tea and smokes. seemed like ages till 6.30 ,down to paper shop ,then on to garage it was open from 6.00 was cursing been open at 6 for a while so friend said.

Filled up and off to farm got there thought do i go right side fields Josses or cousin left opposite side of main road or to Chris's.

Anyway decided to go to cousins, drove to hedge corn field other side out with deeks only 8 crows came over all shot.

All the crows flying down over josses fields. :sad1: trust me to pick wrong side. Stayed a half hour nothing up with deeks back to Cousins for a cuppa and chat.

Drove over the road to Josses through to next field by hedge barley other side, out with deeks hide etc.

They came over nicely had some great shooting coming in all directions, OLD eccles on top form this morning. Great morning good wind 3 small showers with a big 1 at 1 ish legged it back to truck before it arrived, only had hoodie. Waited for it to stop 1/2 hour and packed up quick.

Fired 83 carts 2 second barrel misses 3 had to have second to clean kill in air. Not many birds but great sport really enjoyed it.

Pic of birds picked by decoys lot over in barley others in thistles and to wet to collect in trainers. Nearly always shoot in them if decoying.
