After reading all the pigeon exploits on here yesterday I decided to dust off the shotgun and see if I could find any on the stubbles....

Called at my farm and nothing to be found on one half of the farm so had a look at a boundary field of wheat stubble and saw a few birds on it ...not a lot but I thought I would just sit and see what happens.

I noticed most birds were heading for an oak tree and using it as a sitty tree so I set up next to this ......good decision as the birds mostly came in singles and headed for this tree :)

Some decoyed text book style but others seemed content just having a look and heading for the sitty tree so I got the best of both worlds.

A very enjoyable afternoon even though I was very rusty didnt do too bad ......I shot quite a few more with clouds of feathers erupting only for them to drop in the field behind me , which was standing wheat :/

A jay had been mobbing me all day as I was next to an oak tree but I was unable to get a shot at it until late in the day when it made a mistake of landing on a bale .....

Even jays get in on the old bale shot Andy :lol::lol::lol:
