Proudly
We're about to put feeders on a farm as the farmer has said its fine to shoot the pheasants on his land. Its mainly hedgerows, rough corners & a long bracken/gorse filled gulley. What distance should we be leaving between hoppers? Thanks
rich1985
Put the hoppers where you want the birds, if you have a rough hedge or corner you want to do as a drive put the hoppers there.
magman
Stay away from the boundary hedges if you have shoots next door as it's not the in thing to do and could upset a few locals just saying If your putting birds down that's another story
Proudly
I mean how far should we spread them apart? 100/200/300yds between each hopper? Thanks
Arley
It depends on how many birds you have got on the ground? You cant beat a broken bale of straw with some wheat/cut maize scattered on top of it. The point made by Magman is a good one. Always worth being a good neighbour. Good luck
Proudly
I'm not aware of anyone shooting on the neighbouring farms. We'll not be putting any birds down, just looking to have the occasional walk up day or if its quiet on the crows/pigeons gives us an alternative
B725
some of ours are only 20 meters apart as that is where we want the birds to be.
