Paul taylor Posted August 27, 2014 Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 allo all, I've waited ages for this small field to be cut and it was done finally on sunday. first chance I got was for 2hr after work yesterday. 6 frozen birds placed in a sort of open horse shoe shape with a couple of full body crows in front of hide and a half dozen silhouette type crows off to one side, no hide as such just sat behind a stone wall in the orchard with apple trees as a background. No birds on field when I arrived but a few flying about but Pigeons decoyed better than I personally have ever seen. They came in fairly often and even came in from the direction I thought they would and most opted to land in the narrow killing ground I have in this field so most where shot as they flaired to land, it was so satisfying to see a plan work for once! 2 very enjoyable hrs. 7 pigeon for 15 shots inc a couple of follow up shots so not too bad for me, lots left alone due to unsafe angles. Any how onto the reward. 20 mins from first pic to last. Yum!!! Atb P.T You will have to excuse me.
