The crop protector
Hi gents, I have just bought a browning 525 sporting and am considering some extended chokes for clays, any advice? How do extended benefit apart from the obvious quick change? Cheers
V8 90
They're nearer the clay !! In reality they don't make any difference. I have an Inv+ Muller U2 in a Muller Choke case - hardly used £40 posted if you're interested - only selling as I've sold my Browning. fenboy
In theory a extended choke should throw better patterns as the longer restriction should mean less deformation of the shot.
figgy
They also protect the muzzle ends. Figgy

kent
If you fit a different choke extended make good logic being easier to swap. I do feel the longer restriction can give improved patterns with steel not sure abou lead and clay loads though as I haven't ever tested them
