Fast Essex Birds......

With weather and work scuppering my shooting plans this week, I returned too a wheat stubble field shot 6 days previous.

This farmer is quite fickle, so I had to put my friend on a field around a mile up from me.

He has his cocker bitch on her first day out so was intending to take it easy, I did cut off his line but with plenty of birds around he had some shooting giving plenty of time to work with her.

After helping him set up, driving back to my spot I never fired a shot until 12.30 and packed up a 4pm

84 in my pile with Jeff adding 24 plus we found 8 more after walking the hedges with his pup routing them out of the cover....

With my hide blending in very well, I had some cracking second shots as the birds tried to nip through the farm opening to my right.

On returning home my grumpy left at home cocker had to have a nose in the chillier.........

that is a good hide you have put up.............the colours are just right for that corner.............nice bag, well done.. :good:

Thank you, I think it is important with the colours, I have 2 bits of that net and they are great as they are rag tag but give me enough cover and a chance to see through....
