loriusgarrulus Posted September 5, 2014 Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 A good stop gap till you get to the vets is a cool tea bag. Make a cup of tea and fish the teabag out before you add any milk and sugar. Allow to cool to luke warm and bathe eye with damp bag. If both eyes affected use one side for one eye and the other side of the bag for the other eye. Leave tea residue on. This will stain the hair on a white dog, but it will clean once you stop using it. Do this often as you can at least 2 or 3 times a day or more. This will soothe the eyes and sometimes will even clear a minor infection. If it has not improved over the weekend go to the vets. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
al4x Posted September 7, 2014 Report Share Posted September 7, 2014 Basically the stuff the vets use is the same as you can buy in the chemists however you won't get it if you say its for the dog. So you want some eye drops / ointment for your daughter who has conjunctivitis. If it persists then vet but you will get the same product, if you think it might have a scratch / foreign body in then its to the vets anyway.
