To be honest I didn't notice the tail, its a thick one.

Been out this after and not happy with the 140 groups 2 inch at 200 yards is no good for me. 139 scenars though wow 4 inch at 548.5 yards and that was windage, horizontal was only 1.25 AMAZED WELL CHUFFED.

Got bits on camcorders will post later

Yes was on the pickup, I'm thinking of mounting a swivel mount for it probably suction .Its possible ;-)post-2987-0-27460600-1410727669_thumb.jpg

This was a 3 shot group after I knocked the 5inch gong out of the tree, I couldn't be bothered to walk over 3/4 of a mile to hang it back up, and only had 5 bullets left.

Alright Karl, you still got the triple 2? see you was selling the stock the other week.

Yes mate I decided to put it back to the old stock as I did want to damage the laminate lamping. New bit of land and the owner wants a few fox shifting. And the extra cash will help towards a 6.5 hopefully.

If my mrs doesn't find it lol. :/

vertically that group is cool, I should just check it a few times more without fiddling and call load development done. scenars are target bullets mind and good ones at that moa at 200 is all most manufacturers will really strive for in a 140 grn hunting round (I am assuming that's what the others were) if you find some that work better in your gun fine

The 200 yard group were actually Amax, not good at all, they have one last chance to stay in my possession, after that i will trade them in. Try different seating depths varied by 0.04 each.

It would be nice to get a do all bullet, hence trying the Amax, Berger do one i will try those out next.

I did actually get it on the camcorder but due to a couple of words of excitement i wont put them up, and cant be bothered to be honest i,m having problems trying to edit them

There were quite a few misses to start that i could not understand,i put it down to not getting the wind right, then realised the zero on the App was for a 200 yard zero and not 100 as it should have been. From 20 shots i only hit the plates 3 times, 405 yards twice and the 548 once, there a nice group on the legs of the frame at 405 . I need something more substantial to hang them from i think.

Next time i go i'll use the camcorder again only next time I'll put some tape over my mouth

Ahh, the magical do all bullet good luck with that one. I came very close to going .260 rem but felt in the end I can and have got the job done on any deer with 100 grains and I have so grown to like the fast, flat 55 grain bullets now a days I fear I will miss the bottom end that is not offered by the 6.5s more than I think a bigger lump of lead might come in handy on the hill.

To shoot target at ranges its a standard requirement to only use target ammo, Amax as you know "is" target labled, but is also capable expanding. But that's a road we will not go down. Berger do actually produce a bullet designed for both, availability could of course be a stumbling block. What's it like at anything over 800 ???

A lump of lead at like 3000 fps even if it doesn't expand will still kill. However the section 5 bit cuts both ways on legislation you sometimes are compelled to use recognised expanding ammo by law and if you don't have anything on your ticket things can be questioned in another 5 years at renewal. I am more obsessive about terminal performance these days than shaving the last 1/4 or so out of a load personally as I have no further interest in target shooting on a sunday morning an hour or greater from home
