Hi i have the new Browning A5 and use half choke all the time,a friend of mine recently bought a new Maxus ,on doing patten test on both guns found maxus standard choke very poor.

However they supplied a special duck choke, fantastic patten. Not interchangeable with A5 !!! Hope this helps.

Is that the black extended choke you are on about ? I've just bought a maxus and haven't patterned it yet that's all.

I use it for Wildfowling and use the 1/4 choke that come with it. Birds seem to die fine when I shoot them. However getting a kicks modified, see how that goes.

Best choke you will have used. Superb patterns that kill very well out to range.

I'm considering another for the new Beretta when it arrives, ill pattern the makers chokes first as they claim they're designed for steel.

Browning and brierly do a series of aftermarket duck chokes. But did here that some Maxus come with one already.
