steveyg
Had an offer to join a Pw member today (he wants to remain anonymous... in case the jinx curse effects his future results.. ) We set up with a dozen dead birds, there were plenty of birds about, wind behind us and we had a strong flightline ...it looked very promising We changed things around a few times, added a magnet, then took it down again however no change...the pigeons would not decoy. It was a very strange day, they were just not interested. We were pretty confident it hadn't been shot recently...so why would'nt they commit to the pattern.. If 25% of the birds would have decoyed..it would have been a cracking day. Still had a great day..as usual a few good shots and a few simple misses... we finished on 44 picked and there will be a few that were hit hard great company and some good sport..... :good: Edited September 20, 2014 by steveyg

pigeon controller
Well done Steve, you should have borrowed "The Magic Cap" and that would have helped. Well done for ringing the changes to try and make it happen . Hopefully next time you reach your target.
JDog
If 50% had decoyed it would have been even better.
la bala
On the wheat stubble field i was on yesterday, if 2% decoyed i would have been happy, there was a strong flight line over this grain littered field, ( the old combine the farmer used put as much grain on the floor as it did in his hopper ). anyway, said pigeons were only interested in a standing bean field 1 kilometre NE of me, there you go, thats pigeon shooting. Cranfield
You obviously had an enjoyable day out and 44 is not a bad bag.
pigeon controller
If 50% had decoyed it would have been even better. If 100% decoyed it would have been a Mega Day.
