djgeoff Posted September 22, 2014 Report Share Posted September 22, 2014 had good laugh at week end, four of us out shooting covering two fields of stubble and adjoining cropped fields after the pigeons as requested by farmer. we had been shooting for some 3 hrs when farmer appeared. he said 'i have had a phone call there are two 4x4 driving all over my crops, i told the caller well that would be difficult the fields they are on there are no crops i got them in last week'. farmer was ok but he said he just came out to make sure and was more than happy as i was collecting my pigeon, 'he said looks like pigeon pie then, ok i let carry on then knocking them down'. we did have to confirm that the area had p footpaths, we had already checked but needed to double checked because we had some walkers wondering about. it was quite unbelievable adult male, adult female and two toddlers, i had my back to hedge with birds from front and rear, from the rear i was getting a lot of nice high driven so i never and would not take low birds not knowing what is the other side of hedge ( if u follow my drift). but these idiots came up field on my blind side ( behind me /hedge) . but as three of us had radios it was a god snt, first shooter warned us all of the offending loonys, and we all stopped and the first shooter escorted the plonkers passed all the other shooters. there are some ****** about! bye the way i had 76 pigeon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
