.204 ruger, opinions!

243 with 55grain Winchester silver tips is the daddy of foxing. Fast flat and hard hitting

I am pretty sure that it is, as will say any owners of a .308, 270 etc.

I know that 'Dead is dead', but some will say that the above calibres (and 243) are overgunning for purely foxes.

If you want a dual purpose gun for foxes and some species of deer I would agree, but as a purely fox gun then the 223 or 22.250 take some beating.

The debate I am sure will rage on for years.

Hi Chris,

Hope you're OK will have to come in for a bacon roll sometime.

Just to put a spanner in the works,I fancied a .204 and got a .223 didn't keep it long.

Then got a .221 fireball reason is if I'm out foxing with this great flat shooting round and a Muntie presents itself I've got some dinner whereas a .204 isn't legal.

I home load and it costs the same to make as a .17rimfire round to buy.

If you want to try it sometime give me a shout.

Cheers Steve.
