Hi all,

I have a remington 1100 fixed skeet barrel I havent had it long and its been faultless I put a 100 carts through it on saturday never missed a beat..however when I got home I stripped it down to replace the safety (last owner was a lefty so he kept knocking the safety on so had it taken out) I dont like not having the safety so I wanted to put it back on. when ive opened it up ive realised that one of the arms on the link has broken so now you cant cock it at all.

Does anyone know any other shops in the uk that has spares for these? ive tried all the ones I could find using google and none of them had the links in stock so now the only option I have is to order from america. any help would be appreciated

cheers

Dave

thanks mate, trying to order now but wont let me checkout for some reason it just crashes!...hopefully get it ordered soon and get back out shooting with it. I have an O/U so its not stoppping me but really enjoyed shooting skeet with the remy!

have you ever ordered barrels from the states? wouldve though you would definitely needed an import ticket for that. wouldnt mind getting a half choke or something for pigeon shooting

I love mine and everyone whos shot it seems to get on with it too.

Mines older than me, has patches of patina, the bluings wearing away, stocks scratched and dented, the butt pad blood stained as I use it to finish off quarry when needs be, it fits like a glove, I'm not precious about it and it never miisses a beat....

did I mention I love it? :)

I must admit im feeling that way with mine as well!...the stock was a little short for me so bought a slip on extender and it feels miles better. I love the look of them its something different from all the beretta's you see everywhere.

I think mine was made in the early 80's from the serial numbers and it was restricted to 2 in the mag in 1989. its in mint condition the bluing is perfect on the barrel just a little bit of light rusting on the reciever. I bought it for rough shooting and skeet as I want to keep my browning 525 immaculate. I patterned it at the weekend and the choke is more like a 1/4 than a skeet as the patterns were very similar to the 1/4 in my O/U it shoots very well for me.

just need to find somewhere or someone to go pigeon shooting with

All the reviews I read most people seem to find it a bit of a marmite gun the yanks love them...some say they're unrealiable others that that they've never had problems. But I think after 4 million sold your going to have a few that break down the numbers speak for themselves though. most importantly for me is it fits me and I can shoot well with it....well nearly as good as my browning anyway haha
