magnet power cable

Not being a magnet-ologist !....now that my magnet is nearly ready to use...........what is the smallest cable i can use to run it ....over 25 yds say....its a VW wiper motor run off a car battery............

As you light weight machine is not pushing dead birds then I recon you will be better off with a 7/8/12 amp lamping battery and a shorter cable. Longer the cable the greater the loss as I remember.....

 

That is why most machines have only 4-5 foot of cable....also the longer it is the more to get tangled....

I spoof ye not...........i have never used a magnet.....we tend not to use them in this area...people have used them but not to any great effect...we tend to get better results from flappers...electric and manual....

 

 

since the rape is starting to come up i decieded to make a different sort of magnet (see geared magnet post).....as said before it is an ich i must scratch

 

 

having a bit of trouble finding the right piece of plastic for the "2D" decoys....

What about the material ( plastic sheet) they use be estate agents "corrugated plastic"

With the make up of it then putting stiffeners where you need them should be easy, also it will take paint ok......

thats rubbish about electricity in Norfolk.....i actually knew someone who has seen it....can you believe that.....amazing stuff it is too.......i think you have to buy it from France....we used to have some but it got broke.........

The plastic you need is called correx if that helps your search
