Longbower
I managed to get off work early this afternoon , and nipped up to a field I haven't shot for ages. I put a few deeks out , and settled down in some nearby cover. With only an hour to spare , I bagged four nice big fat woodies, who's breast's now nestle together in a container in the fridge . But , WOW , the bugs!!! There were Wasps, after the affids, , greenfly , and blackfly. Mossies all manner of nasty things. In October??? They feasted on any exposed skin . The big blow flies were on the pigeons before they hit the ground. Roll on the frosts.

Longbower
Ken, why do you think I'm sat in a field getting bitten to pieces. She looks like a movie star nowadays . Mrs Doubtfire. She's ginger and used to look like Nicole Kidman, now she looks like she's eaten Nicole Kidman. Nij.

Cranfield
You have got to hope she never learns about Pigeon Watch, or bugs and beasties will be the least of your worries.
Longbower
No worries, I wouldn't say anything on here, that I wouldn't say to her myself. She , just laughs it off, and goes back to her Harry Potter books. Which are well too far fetched for me. I mean flying Ford Anglia's , yeh ok , but a Ginger kid with TWO mates , nah never. Longbower
I use citronella, or skin so soft, but still get bitten.I was out this afternoon, and noticed a ladybird, on a straw bale. Strange this late in the year.
