Tweed and brogues are perfect for the wash OF, I am sure your guide for the weekend will only be too happy to carry you over any mud you may encounter.

Seriously , if you have chest waders take them along as they will cover any eventuality , not sure what Grahams plans are for you , I dare say they are not even made yet as much will depend on where the duck / geese are frequenting .

Waterproof and warm jacket , wading stick a game bag or such like, cartridge wise expect the birds to he on the high side ( they often are ) so bring 3s for the duck and BBs for geese.

Hi

Bit of advice needed looking forward to a day out with ayano3 and to make the most of it I would like to know what I will need as I'm sure a tweed suite and brogues is not the attire for the marsh

So over to the experts in the PW forum

A comprehensive list please

Thanks in advance

All the best

Of

ask the guy in question directly. most marshes need tweaks to equipment and clothing required.

There might be plenty of people in the car park if its raining O F , as some of the Washlanders don't like going if there is a bit of rain about :lol:

I am sure you will enjoy your visit , a fascinating place to go wildfowling and you will be in very good company.....Good luck O F.

That's as the rain is horizontal most of the time.

Hi

Thanks for your replies

Recon you all travel schooner rigged thought you would give me a list including a plucking machine and kitchen sink

In the unlikely event of heavy horizontal rain I think there will be more local fowlers having breakfast than venturing out anyway looking forward to the experience

Marsh man if your about that weekend I treat you to a breakfast

Oh be careful, very careful. You will now have guys introducing themselves as 'Marsh Man' with varying accents and some as far as Derbyshire coming to take advantage of your kind offer.

Thanks O F with your kind offer of having a breakfast with you , sorry to say I live around 80 miles from where you will be, and if what I have heard is true how fit those boys are I don't think I would be able to keep up walking over soft mud for well over 2miles with thy boots on and carrying half hundred weight of equipment plus the extra weight of the ducks and geese to lug all the way back ....no wonder they have got big appetites and mussels like a Russian shot putter.......But they do respect there elders O F so you will be alright.. :good:

Oxford and myself are taking a couple of winners out on Sunday Now how far do we make them walk ? !

I would have a look at their posts and see if they have ever said anything derogatory about us wildfowlers. They only need flip flops and Bermuda shorts with a nice loud shirt lol hope they have a good day. Hope to see you there.
