thanks again for all your replies ,sorry forgot to mention i'm from hemel hempstead and i'm shooting at lea valley in hertford.

anyway people show us some piccys of your guns. :) once my sgc comes thru i'll be looking.... got my eyes on a silver pigeon.

You won't go far wrong with a Berretta. The biggest problem is going to be your cabinet and is it big enough? I found out the hard way. About four weeks or so after I took my nice new Berretta out pigeon shooting, it rained and the forend got wet. It took me three days before it had dried out enough that I could get it back on the gun. Straight out to the gun shop, "I want a cheap, second hand, semi-auto please," says I. The guy brought out this Browning Fusion Gold in pristine condition. "Been sitting in the cabinet for 3 years unused. £400.00" Ding, Ding, cash sale says I. Shotty number two! Both are lovely guns and shoot well. It's always the muppet on the other end that causes the miss.

Case number two is due to go in soon as I want to go for a variation on my FAC for a 223 for Charlie. It will go alongside my CZ455 in .22lr.

The moral to this is make sure your case is big enough at the start as it's a very addictive hobby.
