Milage means nothing more than you'll get a cheaper car as some idiot thinks anything over 100k is spent...

I just bought a 1 owner S500L on a P plate 1997 with full main dealer history and 12 months mot. 65,000 miles

 

Drove it back from Bristol last weekend and it's like an arm chair on wheels.

The thing about cars is that you don't need to buy a **** box - there's always a good car out there for the money if you look hard, are patient and don't mind travelling a bit.

 

I wouldn't buy a car with over 100k on the clock for the simple reason that I could find something better, with less miles and for less money.

Was in a minibus in latvia ( Merc) which had done 705,000kms.

Me too VW Jetta taxi in Greece over 500000 Km's. His secret - change oil with fully synthetic every 5000 k's. Running car 24x7 (in shifts) probably didn't hurt either.

I do not think that black cabs are a good comparison to normal cars as they are made to be simple and parts are quickly available and they do not I think have all of the problem electronics on them that most cars do today I do not no what the new ones are like probably getting as bad as cars to get around the emission rules.
