Essex Keeper Posted October 10, 2014 Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Overpriced fella I had one same year in blue mine was the limited edition it looked like £10,000 motor nice to drive great off road but all ways needed somthing Front bearings go so new hubs needed Use a lot of diesel silly amount The mileage cable gets worn through buy the handbrake cable So mileage is never right on these jeep Got a recall list as long as my arm Mine was the manual is this auto ? Davyo Posted October 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Thanks mate,just fancied a diesel with a bit of room an didnt know anything about these but they sure look solid, should of read reviews before looking so thanks for the heads up.I have a grand vitara 3dr petrol at the moment as a shooting bus, which has been brilliant.Have looked about for a deisel 5dr but they have no or very little service history.Just want a solid body with history before i get my hands on it,cause the 1st thing I do is rip all the carpets out and slap the mod paint on.Looked at Freelanders but I think they are more unreliable than the Jeep. thepasty Posted October 10, 2014 Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 my old man had one from new, all was good until the warranty ran out then it became a money pit.... you could almost watch the metal around the running gear and underside corroding it went that quick.
