Has anyone or the new model photon, and if so, how do you rate it?

needless to say Steve. i have the new XT photon, its much better than the original

but still a £400-00 nv , its a less grainy picture at least it is on my model

and genrally improved i/e the on/off switch is now the ir switch, it works very well with my T20/new Venom Strike ir

its fitted to my bullpup kalbrigun cricket fac.22 fac and gets it 1st hunt tonight.

Am buying one this week I thought. Can't decide between buying a new hawke panorama and night master m800 led in white, green or red or the photon. Don't mean to hijack but two birds, one stone...... Leaves me some change to buy some new decoys going m800 route and a better than what I have scope for my pcp. Is the photon grainy issue due to illuminator or the resolution of the display....or just the price point of the photon?? Mixed reviews I have seen so far and all comes back to its excellent for the money, rubbish in the nv scope world big scheme of things is that? Buying something this week so will keep an eye on this thread.

brian, which do you rate the best the new photon or the pitch black

Hi Telf, the new pitchblack unit is has imo the better picture,

less grainy image ,it depends whether you can deal with the heads up

shooting position,i have no problems with the heads up position because all my

shooting is off primos tripod sticks, do not be fooled by the different design of the PB unit

it is a very capable nv unit and at £385-00 is great value.
