Hatsan 20g mag extension

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a mag extension to a 20g hatsan pump but still stay 2+1. I don't want to up my capacity I just want it to mount an accessory rail on so I can fit an ultrafire torch for lamping.

I've got 250 acres where I can only use shotgun and want to get out lamping. It's a pain trying to hold a torch and pump at same time.

I've not managed to find any decent clamps that wouldn't interfere with the rib. Then I thought about sticking something on the current mag tube but because of the length of the torch there isn't enough room.

I figured if I get short extended tube and pack it with epoxy putty so it couldn't be used to extend capacity, then stick a scope to picatinny adaptor on like I have on my scope it would be quick and easy to interchange between rifle/shotgun.

Not entirely sure but would this not mean it then becomes section 1 firearm ? regardless of any other modifications.

I looked into this for my 12g S/A escort, my local gunshop would only supply mag tube if I had a slot for it and they would transfer it to my F.A.C.

When it arrived it wouldnt fit any way.....wrong thread! New escorts have different thread to the older models, so it stayed as it was.

Bit heath robinson I know but have you tried zipties? or hose clamps?(available in plastic too)

Good luck, let us know how you solve it :good:

That would be a good option if it came in 20g. I like the scope to picatinny rail adapters as all my torches are fitted with adapters to fit on them an take seconds to swap over.

I can't see how it would make it illegal as the capacity will still be 2+1. I see if I can make something at work instead.

Because at the time that the extension tube is supplied it isn't packed with resin so is therefore Sect 1 so you'd need a variation to purchase in the first place and have it put on your ticket before it was modified.

You don't need an fac to buy the mag extension you can buy them online, it only becomes sec1 when fitted same as a rifle magazine. http://www.midwayuk.com/epages/Midway_UK.mobile/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Midway_UK/Products/2171131077/SubProducts/131077 perfectly legal to buy.
