investarm safety catch Q

hey guys, bought the mrs a 20g investarm 100 as her 1st gun, she wanted something light so it fits that bill perfectly

however, the automatic safety catch is a bit odd and i just wanted to check its sposed to do what it does.....

once loaded, cocked and ready to fire you have to (obvs) cycle the s/switch to 'fire' and it'll then fire the lower barrel, but you then have to cycle the s/switch back to 'safe' and then back to 'fire' in order to fire the 2nd barrel

is that normal ?????

cheers

thanks for the reply :good:

it does seem a bit odd hence the question, the gun otherwise works perfectly, hasnt fired whilst closing or fired both barrels or anything dodgy, but ill get it looked at as above all else as shes a new shooter its a bit fiddly for her..........not that id tell her that......obviously

well, with nothing better to do (plus more spare time than spare cash) i thought i may as well have a look myself,

whipped off the stock and it revealed........nothing !! well obvs it relealed some 'bits' but i couldnt see anything obvs wrong with what was there so assumed it was just sposed to be as it was,

while i was in there i cleaned out all the ancient, congeled grease/oil and gave it all a light oiling and much to my (and the mrs) suprise it appears to have fixed it !! no more cycling the safety etc, its just cock, knock off the safety, bang, bang................

does this mean im an now an accidental gun smith
