Hello, everyone, at the end of the month I am going to start teaching my dog to retrieve so i thought I would be organised and get all the needed dummies now, one thing I need advice on is what weight and type of dummy should I buy for a 6 month old cocker ?

Any advice would be great

Many thanks Charlie

use anything it don't have access to to use as a toy. Bits of junk is just fine as long as its safe, stuffed old socks, pipe lagging, roll of waste carpet, whatever. You don't even have to spend anything OR go down the pound shop or similar and get a big bag of balls.

I use tennis balls early on to see a puppys interest then i go straight to rollers, i like paint rollers the lambs wool type, then tend to use dummies for distance more then anything dont allow the dog to fail to start nice open ground no rough to start with then progress .I bring the tennis ball back out if im running two dogs later on for speed training ,never a dummy

Everyone does it different but if it works stick to it..
