Hypa flap problems

Hi everyone went and brought myself some hypa flaps seeing as people think they work well and just had a few Minnor problems when setting them up.

When they are on the rotary every now and then the wings slide and it ends up with one wing pointing north and the other south ? Why is this ?

Any advice will be helpful

Make sure you feed the rod through the corrugated plastic at the back of the neck then through the wing slots and into the little pockets, the rod should go through the plastic as near to the front wing edge as possible, if the wing still folds over shorten the fishing line at the back edge of each wing or add a second rod to stiffen wings, these hypa flaps work well in light winds but do suffer in anything stronger than a force 2 or 3, I tend to put them away if the wind picks up and rely more on my two turbo flappers. :good::good:

I find 2 wall plugs in the pockets and piano wire cut to the right length gives an even more realistic flapping than the rods supplied

how thicker rod do u use
