Day of work means only one thing for me!

Dawn till dusk traipsing about with my flintlock. Knackered now mind!

I had seven shots, for that I got two pheasants, a squirrel and a woodie.

I nearly snook up on a kingfisher with the camera but it went.

Found a pool with several teal on so will be mindful of them for the camera next time.

I could smell a fox at one point, I think he was moving in on some pheasants, the same ones as me! But I never saw him, swine!

I watched loads of woodies on some drilling, always a joyous sight for a sports man.

I often wonder about making a make shift rammer in the woods should I break the original one so set to, once I found a suitable hazel wand it took minutes to whittle one up.

The reloading section is full, this won't work, dodgy crimps, that's too small/big etc...etc. You just go out and do the job with your own loads Underdog, and bring back the bacon every time, well done :good:

Lol that's why I don't go there any more. They would have kittens if they saw my .410 reloads, no crimp, bog roll wads, lol lol.

Thank god I'm not the only one.. used everything from paint to wax to glue to seal my black powder reloads as i have no crimping device. As for wadding while out with the muzzle loader in desperation i once went so low as using dried up horse dung which i picked up in an obliging field. Dropped a pigeon with it and my friend asked are you going to eat that "rhymes with city" pigeon

Nail varnish, I use clear to stick top cards in cases. Works a treat.

Lol horse dung, never thought of that lol, a smoothbore muzzle loader has to be the best invention ever :-).

Bashed pheasant breast fried in olive oil with garlic, fennel seeds, cumin and coriander. Salt and pepper.

Mushrooms added and meat placed to rest. Water added, salt and pepper. When mushrooms cooked add thickening flour to make a sauce.

This is all done after the pasta is nearly cooked, frozen peas added and just before serving throw some cubes of cheese in the pasta.

Boootifull
